M.A. Avital Dvory :

Visual-Theatre Director , Puppeteer , Stage Artist and Skilled Medical Clown

Avital studied performing arts in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Barcelona and has a Master of Arts degree from The Central School of Speech and Drama in London, specializing in puppetry and physical theater.

In London Avital has worked with Theater-Rites and Theater Center, and took part in performance tours in England, Scotland, Ireland and Japan.

Since 2001 Avital has been working in Israel, creating and directing various multidisciplinary performances combining live artists, puppetry, circus art and music. Her work, always exploring the integration of several art forms and harmoniously blending them together on stage. Avital awarded numerous important prizes. With her productions she was invited to various international art festivals around the world. 

Avital is also a Clown therapist in “Ha’emek”  and “Meir” hospitals in Israel, for the last 10 years, as part of the Dream Doctor project.

Avital is one of the senior clowns of Dream Doctors project and a part of the training team.

Avital  also teaches and conducts workshops in puppetry and object theatre, body language, individual materials in creation, medical clowning, therapy with marionettes and non-verbal communication.
